The Future Is Private is a playful digital installation with a serious message about privacy
The surveillance–economy is a growing capitalist powerhouse with strong manipulative capacities over its subjects. Under the guise of public safety, we allow camera surveillance and other data processing hard- and software to infiltrate our personal lives in order to be sold and fed back to us. Most of us are completely unaware of this ecosystem and its effects on our daily lives. These intelligent systems are manipulating our freedom to make rational choices when purchasing products, services and even maintain our right to move anywhere anonymously. The Future Is Private raises awareness about a problematic spread of systemic manipulation within the arena of digital culture, in relation to surveillance and capitalising data, provided by unaware citizens, such as you and me.

ANIMA is a digital installation that makes you think about the intrigue of unpredictability
The Generative Adversarial Network (G.A.N.) was one of the most exciting milestones in the development of Machine Learning. This system allows you to accurately and intelligently generate unique content from a database of images or words. The inherently unpredictable nature of a G.A.N. excites people in the same way that observing or interacting with other forces of nature such as people and animals do or even fire does. These elements intrigue, because they breathe, move and interact. ANIMA extends the intrigue of unpredictability by giving these generated, initially non-moving and non-existing faces more interactive value.
